Cross bars are aerodynamic to reduce wind noise and drag. Take your included key, unlock, take off your cap. You'll also have weather stripping, easy to remove that can be used for channel mounted accessories.The included legs have a rubber coating to help prevent abrasions and scratches on your vehicle. This roof rack can handle up to 165 pounds. I do recommend you check your owner's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that amount of weight. more

Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack Installation - 2008 BMW X5

Today on our 2008 BMW X5 we'll be test fitting the Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack for raised factory side rails, part number th7503-th7503. With our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin by taking our front load bar and place it on to the front part of our side rails. Once we have the bar situated, we can remove the black plastic cover from both sides of the top of the carrier. You'll notice that on each end of the strap are two different kinds of slots. One end is numbered one through four. This goes around the underside of your side rail fitting back into the foot of your carrier. more
